“Lovein Ribman is excellent. They are extremely knowledgeable in their field and were very attentive with us at every step of the way. We wouldn’t have been able to achieve our goal without them. We highly recommend them.”

- Nick Umana

“Words can not express how grateful I am to have worked with Lovein Ribman, in particular Nick Messina. (Luckily) I don’t deal with lawyers on a regular basis but if I did, Nick has set the bar in terms of my expectations. Super professional, prompt, proactive. Always feel that I was a priority and not just a number. Beyond that, Nick is a smart and savvy lawyer and the result was more than I could have ever hoped for! I only speak highly of my experience with him.”

About Scott Meyer

I am Senior Counsel at Lovein Ribman, P.C. For nearly twenty years, I have managed a wide array of commercial litigation matters in state, federal and bankruptcy courts, including construction and real estate disputes and litigation, banking and creditor representation, general business and contract disputes and related litigation, business owner and partnership disputes, employment litigation, non-competition, non-solicitation, and trade secret litigation, and litigation involving extra-contractual claims, including DTPA, fraud, and tortious interference.

I grew up in Plano, Texas. After graduating from Plano Senior High School in 1995, I attended the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin where I earned my undergraduate degree in Finance in 1999. Prior to attending law school, I worked for Southwest Airlines in the Schedule Planning Department where I was responsible for preparing flight schedules and coordinating the strategic implementation of new routes and markets for the airline. As a company built on and dedicated to customer service, my experience with Southwest Airlines solidified my core belief of providing the highest level of service to all of my clients.

Following my time with Southwest Airlines, I attended Texas Tech University School of Law where I earned my Doctor of Jurisprudence degree, Magna Cum Laude, in 2005. During law school, I concurrently earned my Master of Business Administration degree from the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University. In the years preceding my joining Lovein Ribman, I worked with several accomplished firms handling a litany of civil litigation matters, and for several years, maintained a successful solo practice focused on representing businesses, lenders, real estate investors, creditors, and individuals in complex commercial litigation, bankruptcy, real estate, and general business and contract related matters.

Beyond work, I am an avid golfer and hunter, and I enjoy watching golf, college football, and English Premier League soccer. I am a proud father to my daughter, a loving husband to my wife, and a humble servant to my faith.
